The project will implement a management response to the Weeds of National Significance (such as Blackberry and Bridal Creeper) surrounding the Porongurup National Park. It will also identify areas of private property where major environmental weeds occur and then implement a mapping and control program to complement the works currently being carried out within the National Park. This co-operative approach will allow for high levels of control of Weeds of National Significance (WoNS) and other identified species.
Identified environmental weeds which firstly invade treated sites and, secondly become a threat to the National Heritage listed Porongurup National Park will be treated as a result of the collaborative approach taken in conjunction with The Department of Environment and Conservation.
